The Fountainhead Group is looking for a 2nd shift Molding Deprtament Supervisor to join our FGI Family and support as a member of the Operations Team. 

 

The 2nd shift Molding Department Supervisor plays a critical, hands‑on leadership role within the Molding Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality production operations. This position oversees daily workflow, supports and guides operators on the floor, and maintains strict adherence to safety, quality, and production standards. The Supervisor is responsible for coordinating work activities, resolving issues in real time, and fostering a positive, growth‑oriented culture. This role is highly visible on the production floor and is expected to lead by example, drive continuous improvement, and help streamline processes to support departmental and organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Production & Workflow Leadership

  • Coordinate, communicate, and monitor daily workflow to ensure smooth, efficient operations and on time production.
  • Work directly on the floor alongside operators, providing hands‑on support and guidance as needed.
  • Ensure all products are manufactured to quality standards and production requirements.
  • Assist with machine setups, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance support when required.

 

Employee Leadership & Performance Management

  • Train, coach, and cross‑train operators to ensure competency and flexibility across workstations.
  • Monitor employee performance, address issues promptly, and document concerns in alignment with company policies.
  • Support a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate Time & Attendance records and ensure compliance with attendance policies.

 

Quality & Compliance

  • Resolve quality issues, including identifying nonconformances, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Verify accurate data entry and documentation of production activities, variances, and rework.
  • Enforce all plant rules, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

 

Safety & Incident Reporting

  • Uphold all OSHA and company safety requirements.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and near misses using the appropriate forms and procedures.
  • Ensure safe and secure facility operations during off‑shifts, including proper shutdown of equipment when supervising the final shift of the week.

 

Administrative & Continuous Improvement

  • Review and recommend improvements to work methods, processes, and departmental procedures.
  • Support Lean initiatives, waste reduction efforts, and process streamlining.
  • Complete required administrative tasks accurately and on time.

Min Compensation

USD $24.00/Hr.

Max Compensation

USD $25.50/Hr.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required, associate’s degree a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • Ability to lead and develop a multicultural, multilingual workforce.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Solid problem‑solving abilities with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control practices, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and general safety requirements.
  • Proficiency with basic MS Office computer application
  • Experience in blow molding or injection molding is preferred.
