Armoured One located in Syracuse, NY is recruiting for a full time Crate Technician / Field Installer Dual Role.  The Crate Technician / Field Installer, under the direction of the Director of Manufacturing Operations is responsible for assembling crates, package glass into crates, document the progress and maintain inventory. In addition, this position, under the direction of the Field Services Project Manager, is responsible for the installation of film and other duties necessary for field services.

Full-Time / Day Shift

Crating Tech Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assemble and design crates.
• Document progress and update documentation.
• Receive and account inventory.
• Pack and unpack glass deliveries.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools and equipment.
• Keeping recorders of projects.
• Order supplies as needed.
• Inspect incoming glass according to the given standard and document reports.
• Maintain harmony among workers.
• Follow the instructions of the supervisor.
• Input all shipments into the computer.

Field Installer Responsibilities:

• Travel to local and out-of-state job sites and install security film on existing windows.
• Cut and prepare security film for jobs.
• Measure existing windows for film sizes.
• Maintain project reports as needed.
• Support supervisor with coordinating projects and communicating with contractors.
• Assist with the training of new employees and licensed installers.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

 Education and Experience:

• Driver’s license and dependable transportation required.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent preferred.
