We are seeking a talented Program Administration & Data Specialist to join our growing Workforce Development Team to support data entry and analysis, the development of visual tools for program management, and maintenance of existing reporting systems. The Program Administration & Data Specialist will work alongside the Pre-Apprenticeship and Registered Apprenticeship teams to perform the responsibilities described below.
Primary Purpose:
The Program Administration & Data Specialist will work closely with the Manager of Workforce Operations & Advancement to support data management best practices for multiple statewide workforce development grant initiatives. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The Program Administration & Data Specialist may be eligible to enroll in the Project Manager or Workforce Development Specialist trade under MACNY’s Apprenticeship Training Program. Upon successful completion, the Program Administration & Data Specialist will obtain their Journey Worker certification, which means a worker has mastered a level of skill, abilities, and competencies that are required for the occupation and are industry recognized.

Pre-Apprenticeship:
MACNY’s Pre-Apprenticeship initiatives include the Real Life Rosies® and Advance 2 Apprenticeship® direct entry programs for individuals interested in pursuing careers in advanced manufacturing. These programs train individuals in a variety of skills that will help them grow professionally and offer opportunities for continuous development. Manufacturing offers a wide range of opportunities in a variety of processes, including safety, CNC Machining, hand tool usage, robotics, and lean manufacturing. Registered Apprenticeship:
Registered Apprenticeship is an arrangement where an Apprentice receives hands-on training, technical instruction, and a paycheck at the same time. Apprentices work for a sponsor (their employer, a union, or an association like MACNY), but are provided hands-on training by their employer, who pays their wages. Registered Apprenticeship Programs usually last about 4 years, depending on the employer or occupation, although they may take up to 12 months. These programs are registered with the New York State Department of Labor. At the end of a Registered Apprenticeship Program, Apprentices receive a nationally recognized certificate of completion as proof of their skills that they can take anywhere.
