The Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY) seeks an energetic individual to serve as a Workforce Development Specialist. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Services and Workforce Development, the Workforce Development Specialist’s primary focus will be on Direct Entry pre-apprenticeship programs. The Workforce Development Specialist will engage businesses, educators and community partners to provide resources, training solutions and technical assistance for workforce challenges, specifically to support Registered Apprenticeship program pathways.
The ideal candidate possesses strong personal and organizational skills along with an interest in recruiting and business outreach.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm. Must have reliable transportation for frequent community outreach and engagements within New York State. Must have flexibility in availability to support occasional activities outside of regular business hours. Completion of a satisfactory background check will be required. Hybrid remote schedule after satisfactory 90-day review. Salary plus full benefit package including health, dental, life and disability plans, employer contribution to 401k and more.
Additional Considerations: Applicants who may not meet all of the above qualifications but possess relevant experience or skills and a strong interest in workforce development are encouraged to apply. These candidates may be considered for a Registered Apprenticeship as a Workforce Development Specialist, where they can gain on-the-job training and mentorship to develop the necessary skills and expertise for the role.
