The Fountainhead Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Machine Setter to join our growing Manufacturing Department. As a Machine Setter, you will play a critical role in setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting plastic molding machinery, ensuring efficient and high-quality production. This position requires a strong mix of mechanical expertise and process knowledge. You will report directly to the Process Engineering Manager.

 

This is a 2nd shift position, Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm

 

Salary Range: $21.00 - $25.00/hour PLUS .50 shift differential

Responsibilities

The below describes a typical day as a member of our collaborative Manufacturing Department, but additional responsibilities may be required by the Process Engineering Manager.

 

As part of our collaborative Manufacturing Department, your daily tasks will include:

  • Setting up and processing plastic molding machinery to ensure smooth production.
  • Conducting quality checks on products and machinery to maintain high manufacturing standards.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues to minimize downtime.
  • Working cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Plastic Molding, and Maintenance teams to meet production goals.
  • Assisting in managing change parts and materials to maintain optimal machine performance.
  • Performing process adjustments based on material, machine, and environmental factors.

USD $21.00/Hr.

Max Compensation

USD $25.00/Hr.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience with blow and injection molding in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Training: The Fountainhead Group provides six months of training in blow and injection molding for those who need it.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work safely and efficiently on equipment.
  • Quality Assurance: Experience adhering to QA guidelines for manufactured products.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of molding processes and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Teamwork: A collaborative team player who can effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Blueprints & Schematics: Ability to read and work from technical drawings related to machinery.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
