SUNY Onondaga Community College, located in Syracuse, NY is currently recruiting for a Auto Tech-Heavy Equipment Mechanic FT Tenure Track Faculty
The Automotive Technology Department has a full-time tenure track faculty position open. Major responsibilities of this position include college-level teaching of Automotive and Heavy Equipment Repair Technology lecture courses and laboratory activities. Content areas such as Vehicle Electrical Systems, schematics & diagnostics, Suspension Systems including active suspension, air ride repair and diagnosis, Braking Systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, Engine and Transmission operation with diagnosis and repair. ASE Certified Technicians are an Industry standard. All courses use ASE standards for material and testing. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, curriculum development, participation on committees, and collaboration with colleagues to assess student learning outcomes.

During each fall and spring semester, teaching typically occurs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 10:30 pm. Schedules, including required office hours, are selected in advance for each semester. Additional opportunities include potential summer coursework and workforce development offerings.
