The Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY) is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing team! We are looking for a detail oriented Senior Accountant to coordinate and assist with the preparation and analysis of accounting records, grant experience is a plus. This includes preparing financial reports, monitoring budgets and compliance with federal grant award requirements. This position opening is immediate, and experience is required.

This position will report to MACNY’s CFO.

• Assist in managing State and Federal funding sources to include internal and external fiscal reporting
• Develop and maintain procedures that ensure fiscal compliance with regulations of State and Federal funding sources
• Assist in monthly budget monitoring and variance analysis for State and Federal funding sources
• Assist in design and preparation of budgets for management review
• Assess internal controls including risk assessments
• Assist with Financial Statement Audit preparation
• Other accounting duties as assigned

• Education: Bachelor Degree in Accounting with 3-years’ experience required
• Strong computer skills including Excel, Quickbooks, and Word
• Solid knowledge of GAAP
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Financial Analysis experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across all departments
