Eagle Metalcraft located in Syracuse, NY is searching to add a Powder Coating and Shipping Support position to their team!!  The Powder Masking and shipping support role is responsible for ensuring accurate masking applications in industrial coating environments. This role requires a keen eye for detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment. As a Powder Masking and shipping, you will be a crucial member of the powder coating team, ensuring that surfaces are appropriately protected and ready for powder and packing for shipping.

• Masking Application: Apply masking tapes, papers, and other materials accurately and precisely to designated areas to protect them from paint overspray during the powder coating process.
• Surface Inspection: Inspect masked surfaces for any gaps or imperfections, ensuring complete coverage and secure adhesion of masking materials.
• Collaboration with Powder Team: Collaborate with other team members to communicate masking requirements, address any concerns or issues, and maintain a smooth workflow throughout the painting process.
• Masking Removal: Carefully remove masking materials after the completion of painting, ensuring that no damage is caused to the painted surface.
• Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance on masking equipment, ensuring proper functioning and identifying any repairs or replacements needed.
• Quality Control: Maintain a high standard of quality control by inspecting finished work for any defects, irregularities, or inconsistencies in the masking application.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), handling of chemicals, and safe disposal of masking waste materials.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of masking applications, including materials used, surfaces masked, and any relevant notes or observations.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to masking techniques and materials, actively seeking opportunities for professional development and process improvement.

• Previous experience in paint masking, automotive painting, or industrial painting is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions accurately.
• Knowledge of different masking techniques, materials, and tools.
• Basic understanding of paint mixing and color matching concepts is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy objects as required.
