As a Forklift Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our forklift fleet's efficient and safe operation in our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of forklifts, including electric, propane, and diesel-powered units. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical acumen, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to promoting workplace safety.

• Conduct routine inspections of the forklift fleet to identify potential mechanical issues, safety concerns, and general maintenance requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal forklift performance, including checking fluid levels, lubricating components, and replacing worn-out parts.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on forklifts promptly and accurately.
• Efficiently repair and replace faulty components using appropriate tools and techniques, such as engines, brakes, transmissions, and steering systems.
• Adhere to manufacturer's guidelines and company safety standards while maintaining and repairing.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed, parts used, and equipment status for documentation and reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize tasks and maintain a well-organized workshop environment.
• Assist in maintaining an adequate inventory of spare parts and consumables required for forklift maintenance and repairs.
• To enhance your technical expertise and knowledge, • Keep abreast of the latest forklift models, technology, and industry trends.
• Participate in safety training and promote a safety-first culture, ensuring all forklifts comply with safety regulations.

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal technical training in forklift mechanics or related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Forklift Mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Solid understanding of forklift systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
• Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, and skilled in precisely carrying out repairs.
• Familiarity with forklift maintenance schedules, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
• Good communication skills and working effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and promoting safety best practices.
• Valid forklift operator's license and any additional certifications in forklift maintenance are a plus.
