The Fountainhead Group (FGI) is looking for an Assistant Manager - Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to join our FGI Family. this is a fulltime position, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.  This opportunity is a support position responsible for ensuring work orders are closed out timely and accurately by reviewing transactions daily, ensuring Material Handlers, QC and Line Personnel are following rules and procedures to maintain accurate inventory reporting, and making corrections / updates where necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to FGI WMS / Location Management Policies – enforcing these policies with affected assembly, material handling, quality control & shipping personnel to ensure that the right inventory is in the right location.
  • Daily monitoring of all work order activity to ensure that what was reported by production was actually transacted into inventory by material handling.
  • Review of all work orders to make sure inventory issues are addressed before an order is closed and filed.  
  • On completion of jobs, first line of review to ensure that all inventory transactions have been completed and there are no open Package Control IDs (PCID) for the current job. If the work order indicates a particular component will run out, verify that occurred.
  • Ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions, including, but not limited to: 
    • PCID Generation vs Daily Production reported
    • Process scrap reports and ensure that reports are received on a regular basis from all submitting departments.  Seeks reports out, if not received and documents if no data to report., 
    • Conduct inventory adjustments resulting from product being returned from the line back to stock (materials over issued)
    • Make adjustments resulting from shipping errors (this may result in mini cycle counts to determine the correct location for the adjustment.)
    • Product transfers from other facilities.
    • Soltex adjustments resulting from railcar discrepancies.
  • Assist in the development of a cycle program with Warehouse Management Personnel (WMS Manager, Shipping Manager & Director of Warehouse & Distribution).   
    • Independently conduct cycle counts as required to validate inventory accuracy in specific situations.
  • Responsible for participation in weekly Material Review Board (MRB) meetings to keep abreast of all material issues:
    • Ensure transactions on rework jobs are completed correctly
    • Inventory accounting is updated properly
    • Corresponding paperwork is prepared to charge vendor.
  • Special Projects – as requested by upper management

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education required.

Job Requirements

  • You are detail oriented and capable of working with numbers and analyzing transactions
  • You are a skilled written and verbal communicator
  • Experienced in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • You possess excellent time management skills and can prioritize tasks to ensure their completion in a timely manner
  • You are a team player who enjoys working with others to resolve issues
  • Must be computer literate – knowledge of warehouse tablets and scanners a plus
  • Forklift experience a plus
  • Must have a strong attendance record
