We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Electrician to join our manufacturing facility's maintenance team. The Facilities Electrician will play a crucial role in designing, implementing and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facility's electrical systems and equipment. This position requires strong technical expertise in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other maintenance and production personnel to support iSpice Food’s growth objectives.

Responsibilities

1. Electrical Maintenance and Repairs: Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on the facility's electrical systems, including electrical panels, circuits, motors, generators, lighting, and other electrical equipment.

2. Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical malfunctions, breakdowns, and issues quickly and accurately. Implement effective solutions to restore electrical systems to optimal functionality, minimizing downtime.

3. Installation and Upgrades: Safely install and upgrade electrical components, machinery, and systems as required. Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards during installations.

4. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for electrical systems and equipment to proactively identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.

5. Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety regulations, guidelines, and protocols related to electrical work. Promote a safety-first culture among team members and report any unsafe conditions.

6. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of electrical maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications. Update equipment documentation and schematics as necessary.

7. Collaboration: Coordinate with other maintenance team members and production personnel to address electrical issues impacting production schedules. Support team members in their respective tasks and contribute to a seamless maintenance workflow.

8. Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duty to respond to emergency electrical issues outside of regular working hours, if required.

9. Electrical Inspections: Participate in regular electrical inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications

1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a formal electrical apprenticeship program or a relevant trade certification is highly desirable.

2. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Electrician, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

3. Electrical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and controls, including PLCs. Familiarity with industrial automation systems is a plus.

4. Safety Conscious: Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work safely with electrical systems.

5. Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues effectively and implement appropriate solutions.

6. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members, supervisors, and external contractors.

7. Physical Ability: Must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.

8. Flexibility: Willingness to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with varying shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.

9. Licenses and Certifications: Possession of a valid electrician's license and any additional certifications related to electrical work is an advantage.
