Responsibilities

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, to create comprehensive production plans that align with company goals and customer demands.

- Develop and maintain production schedules, taking into account factors such as equipment availability, lead times, and workforce capacity.

- Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to prevent shortages or excesses, while optimizing carrying costs.

- Identify potential production bottlenecks and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and maintain seamless operations.

- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely sourcing of materials, considering cost-effectiveness and quality standards.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records, including work orders, material requisitions, and production progress reports.

- Communicate effectively with various departments to relay production updates, schedule changes, and any potential disruptions.

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, offering insights and suggestions to enhance production processes, resource utilization, and overall efficiency.

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, such as on-time delivery, production yield, and adherence to production schedules.

- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in production planning and supply chain management to drive innovation and optimization.

USD $60,000.00/Yr.

Max Compensation

USD $75,000.00/Yr.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field. Or equivalent experience.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, with a proven track record as a Production Planner or in a similar role.

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, trends, and customer demands to make informed production decisions.

- Proficiency in using production planning and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software systems.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage complex schedules and multiple priorities.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various teams and articulate production plans and updates clearly.

- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions.

- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.

- Strong time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced production environment.
