Eagle Metalcraft located in East Syracuse, NY is currently recruiting for Quality Control Inspector to join their team!  This is a 1st shift position with working hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm

The Quality Inspector supports the QC Department in performing inspections of precision formed and machined components. This includes First Piece, In process, Final and FAI requirements. Reports to the Manufacturing Manager.

• Verify product compliance against End Item drawing requirements for proper dimensions, finish, corrosion, using calipers, micrometers, thread gages and other appropriate measuring instruments or similar complexity.
• Review non-conformance reports related to the product to ensure they have been corrected and closed prior to shipping the product.
• Inspect, test and measure components and completed manufactured products. Ensure components and products are consistent with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Measure products with micrometers, calipers, thread gages, Optical comparator, coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and other appropriate measuring instruments.
• Guarantee compliance of product with company and customer standards.
• Identify and control nonconforming material, and support Root Cause and Corrective Actions.
• Ensure current internal first article reports are on file for the product to be shipped.
• Conduct inspection of machined parts using precision mechanical measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret machined parts drawings, blue prints, and specifications.
• Perform first article inspection. (First Piece Inspection)
• Document inspection results on inspection report. (Excel inspection report).
• Reports inspection results to Manufacturing Manger.

• CMM experience preferred.
• Must have experience reading / Interpreting prints.
• Must have experience using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gage, optical comparator.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to learn new things quickly.
• Must pay attention to detail and have problem solving skills.
• Must be able to use Microsoft Office and Excel efficiently.
