The Fountainhead Group is looking for a Molding Department Supervisor for the 2nd Shift Operations to join our FGI Family and support as a member of the Production Team. This is a 2nd shift position working Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm.  The individual hired for this position will train on 1st shift (7:00am - 3:30pm) for approx 2 -3 weeks, and upon successful completion of the training, transfer to 2nd shift.

 

Salary Range: $20.50 - $21.00 per hour PLUS .50 shift differential

 

The Molding Department Supervisor's main responsibility is to assist with all floor supervision including:   

  • Enforcing proper molding procedure
  • Ensuring production schedules are met and quality of production
  • Enforcing safety procedures and company rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for high quality production of all products in a safe and efficient manner.   Insures all production is meeting QC standards.
  • Insures all molding operators are properly trained, and cross-trained, as required to fulfill the production schedule.  
  • Insures molding operators are adhering to job card and production reporting procedures, reporting all production and labor (direct and indirect) accurately and timely.
  • Identify and correct Molding Department performance problems and report to the Molding Manager any that cannot be corrected by him/her.
  • Review work methods and procedures used in molding department.  Recommend any needed changes to Molding Manager.
  • To enforce plant rules and procedures and immediately document any incidents.
  • To ensure security in and around the facility during the shift.  Keep all unused doors closed and locked.  Only FGI employees should be allowed on the premises, unless otherwise advised.
  • Monitor T & A system for the Molding Department.   Train new hires on T & A system and enforce T & A rules and regulations as outlined in the T & A procedures manual.
  • Reports any accidents, injuries or illnesses to the NYM Manufacturing Supervisor and the Molding Manager for C2 form (injury and accident).Assist maintenance & technicians in job duties.
  • Responsible for housekeeping in and around the molding machinery and molding department including organized storage of products and materials and maintaining neat, clear aisle ways.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Knowledge of blow or injection molding
  • 3 years plant supervision
  • Computer literate
  • Leadership ability
