Electrotech located in Long Island City, NY is seeking an experienced, motivated individual to join our company as a Control Wireman.

As part of our team, you wire control panels, door devices, and metering systems. You drill holes to run new wires, install low-voltage wiring, assemble and install control panels and switches, and test all systems to ensure safe and full functionality. You must be able to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics, possess comprehensive knowledge of safe wiring techniques, and be physically able to stand, crouch, and lift objects through a standard workday.

Prior experience is a plus.

Relocation packages are not available.

• Assembly of Electrical Control Panels, Junction Boxes and some wire harnesses from prints. This position is responsible for the physical assembly, wiring and testing of control panels for industrial equipment.
• The Technician will fabricate controls to print, including layout and physical mounting of components to the back panel, wiring of all components, installation of control panel onto equipment, and testing to ensure proper operation. All duties must be performed in accordance with all company policies and procedures
• Read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics
• Follow instructions of supervisors

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Vocational training or certification a plus
• Technical school attendance a plus.
• Ability to understand and work from schematics.
• Good problem-solving skills
• Physical ability to stand, crouch, and lift objects throughout the workday
