The OMP Laborer will play in a vital role in one or more of the following positions:

  • Machine Operator
  • Finish & Assembly Operator  
  • Industrial Painter

Responsibilities

MACHINE OPERATOR

JOB SUMMARY:

The Machine Operator will operate Injection Molding Machinery from 30 Ton to 700 Ton in accordance with Work and Operator Instructions and in compliance with Quality standards and procedures.  They will alert indirect staffing of needs in advance (materials, components, pack, etc.) to keep presses running while minimizing downtime.  All employees will maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate Injection Molding Machinery, ranging from 30 Ton to 700 Ton, to Standard Cycle time.
  • Load inserts into, and unload plastic product from Injection Molding machines.
  • Perform visual inspection of product and compare to Standard.
  • Perform secondary operations (e.g., sonic welding, trimming, light assembly).
  • Move / remove product from work center using pallet jacks and stage to warehouse.
  • Adequately communicate Safety, Quality, Production, and Maintenance issues and concerns to appropriate individuals (i.e., Shift Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, Quality Control).
  • Maintain an organized lean and functional work area, including general cleaning tasks and line clearances.
  • Follow all policies and safety requirements directed by company policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management team members.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

FINISH & ASSEMBLY OPERATOR

JOB SUMMARY:

The Finish & Assembly Operator will assemble manufactured products and pack according to specifications.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assembles machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directions.
  • Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.
  • Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
  • Maintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when needed.
  • Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.
  • Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

INDUSTRIAL PAINTER

JOB SUMMARY:

The Industrial Painter will use paint application techniques and equipment within the Paint Room to professionally finish part surfaces.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follows all Paint Room daily operations and work instructions.
  • Effectively applies experience in HVLP painting with knowledge in painting plastics parts.
  • Reviews parts to be painted; follows quantity and type of paint to use for the work instructions.
  • Effectively applies knowledge in mixing proportions manually.
  • Identifies appropriate paint colors and finishes, mixing if needed.
  • Prepares surfaces to be painted.
  • Masks, removes, covers, or otherwise protects nonpainted surfaces.
  • Applies paint to surfaces using brushes, rollers, sprayers, airbrushes, stencils, and/or other tools.
  • Performs basic detail work, which may include painting small areas.
  • May apply specialty finishes.
  • Follows all Drying Oven operation procedures and policies.
  • Complies with chemical and waste storage and disposal regulations and best practices.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Possession of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Industrial production experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience will be considered.
