Responsibilities

To help us meet our mission LOTTE Biologics is in need of a Associate Engineer, IT to provide engineering solutions for digitizing paper-based processes and reporting applications support. The role will bring process information to Associates, Technicians, Scientists, and Engineers to assist them in making real-time decisions and improve process safety, efficiency and productivity. The role will work with process experts in determining requirements, developing specifications, implementing hardware/software strategies, testing designs, providing 24/7 support for manufacturing systems, and working safely and efficiently in a quality focused environment.

 

  • Create and execute digitization solutions to eliminate paper records from conception to completion, with supervisory oversight
  • Learn Process Flow Diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures, Manufacturing Batch Records, Laboratory Methods, and paper-based worksheets/forms to translate into an electronic format
  • Assist cross functional teams across the site to understand requirements, evaluate appropriate level of electronic documentation, and assist with delivering solutions
  • Test electronic solutions to ensure accuracy and robustness of programming
  • Assist manufacturing, laboratories, and training groups onsite to build effective computer-based training modules and procedure updates
  • Collaborate with third-party contractors, where necessary, to ensure electronic documentation meets user requirements
  • Application support for digital software applications including, but not limited to, PI, Electronic Forms/Logbooks, InfoBatch Reporting Application, AgileOps, Analytic Packages (JMP, SIMCA, SEEQ, etc.), Spotfire or Tableau
  • Deploy hardware, as necessary, in support of digital solutions
  • Provide on and off-hour (24/7 on-call) support for digital systems
  • Create training of automated solutions with staff as well as digital colleagues to ensure understanding of software programs functionality
  • Adhere to all plant safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related Data Science and Engineering disciplines preferred.
  • 0-2 years of work experience of manufacturing industry experience; pharmaceutical production (process development and/or manufacturing technical support) or medical devices preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications
  • Excellent problem-solving, presentation, verbal, and written communications skills

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft business applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Project, etc.)
  • Computing hardware and communication systems that include PCs, servers, thin clients, Ethernet infrastructure
  • Must be a hands-on individual, willing to take initiative, as well as ability to effectively work in a multi-discipline team environment
  • Knowledge of automation control methodologies is a plus
  • Experience with SQL, C#, JAVA, HTML, XML is a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable regulatory requirements is a plus
