LOTTE Biologics has made the East Syracuse, NY facility its North American hub of operations.  In addition to our existing and expanding biologics capabilities, we’re proud to announce the creation of our Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADC) Manufacturing Center.  Here we will make ADC and other classes of Bioconjugates to bring new therapies to market that save lives.  The goal is to create a one-stop platform that offers everything from antibody drug production to chemical drug conjugation, as part of our efforts to become North America’s premier ADC contract manufacturing center.

To make this exciting vision to become a reality, we’re in need of an Associate Director Antibody Drug Conjugate Operations to drive the facility design, build out, start-up, qualification, and manufacturing processes.  The ideal candidate will have experience with common downstream unit operations such as tangential flow filtration, dead-end filtration, and protein chromatography, as well as operational experience with customer projects to enable transfer to GMP manufacturing. During facility build and start-up phases this role will influence process and organizational design.  As the facility transitions to the release phase, this role will be responsible for onboarding and developing a manufacturing team.

• The Associate Director is a senior leadership role within the manufacturing organization reporting to the Director of Manufacturing.
• Direct start-up and commissioning activities (FAT/SAT/IQ/OQ/PQ) including the preparation of test protocols, test execution, troubleshooting, and change control, all per cGMP guidelines.
• Provide technical input in support of equipment procurement including bid package preparation, bid evaluation, vendor selection. 
• Guide and lead a team to ensure delivery of operational activities in Downstream of Antibody Drug Conjugate manufacturing, e.g., tech transfer support, material planning, document and batch record preparation, training and troubleshooting, deviation handling.
• Oversee the manufacturing operation and collaborate with partners to achieve deliverables including continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and schedule adherence.
• Ensure efficient operation of single-use and/or stainless-steel equipment for the purification of therapeutic proteins from either microbial or mammalian expression systems or for the manufacturing of therapeutic Bioconjugates like Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs)

To be successful in this role the following is expected;

• BS or MS degree in Biotechnology, Bio-Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related Life Science subject with 10 or more years of industry experience and a demonstrated in-depth knowledge of downstream processing techniques like chromatography and TFF.
• Work experience in the biotech/biopharma industry leading and managing a diverse team within a manufacturing environment
• Work experience in Antibody Drug Conjugation in the biotech/biopharma industry is highly desirable
