JPW Structural Contracting located in Syracuse, NY is currently seeking to add an Project Manager/Estimator to join their team! Position is Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with 1/2-day optional Saturdays.

Experience in estimating and/or project management in structural steel preferred, but a background in construction would be considered as well.

Salary would depend on level of experience in the trade. JPW offers an excellent benefits package to include 401(k) plan with match.

• Ability to constructively participate in negotiations and disputes resolution.
• Ability to communicate with clients to discuss job needs and to increase customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge in construction accounting necessary to facilitate completing project requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints and perform steel fabrication estimates & proposal creation
• Ability to meet the requirements of productivity, quality, customer service and safety.
• Create and manage project budgets, RFI’s, change orders, submittals and correspondence.
• Ability to carry out and manage multiple assignments independently.

• 3 years’ experience in management of structural steel or construction related trades.
• Must have a proficient understanding of current practices, methods and materials in construction.
• Knowledge in standards in structural steel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Excel/Word and Microsoft Project.
• Must be dependable and present a professional image.
