LOTTE Biologics plans to make the East Syracuse, NY facility its North American hub of operations.  The transformation includes the creation of a facility to manufacture Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADC) as well as other classes of Bioconjugates.  The goal is to create a one-stop platform that offers everything from antibody drug production to chemical drug conjugation, as part of its efforts to become North America’s premier ADC contract manufacturing center.

WHO DO WE NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM?

LOTTE Biologics is seeking a Senior Engineer to support and drive the facility design, build out, start-up, qualification, and manufacturing processes for Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs) and other bioconjugate molecules.  The ideal candidate will have experience with common downstream unit operations such as tangential flow filtration, dead-end filtration, protein chromatography, and conjugation reactions.  This individual will work in a team-driven environment on customer projects to enable transfer to GMP manufacturing. During facility build and start-up phases this role will operate as an individual contributor.  As the facility transitions to the release phase, this role will transition to leading a team of engineers.

This position is located in East Syracuse, NY.

WHAT WILL YOUR FUNCTION BE?

• Provide technical input in support of equipment procurement including bid package preparation, bid evaluation, vendor selection.
• Direct start-up and commissioning activities (FAT/SAT/IQ/CQ/) including the preparation of test protocols, test execution, troubleshooting, and change control, all per cGMP guidelines.
• As Senior Engineer, you will manage operational activities in Downstream of Antibody Drug Conjugate manufacturing, e.g., tech transfer support, material planning, document and batch record preparation, training and troubleshooting, deviation handling.
• Act as a functional lead for an interdisciplinary team of production personnel, supervisors and specialists and be accountable for the performance and results of assigned projects.
• Guide and support activities for clinical and/or commercial manufacturing in one or more defined DSP areas, e.g., capture, intermediate purification, polishing or drug substance filling.
• Ensure efficient operation of single-use and/or stainless-steel equipment for the purification of therapeutic proteins from either microbial or mammalian expression systems or for the manufacturing of therapeutic Bioconjugates like Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs)

WHAT YOU PROVIDE US

• BS or MS degree in Biotechnology, Bio-Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related Life Science subject is required.  Chemical Engineering degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as an engineer in the operation, design, construction and/or start-up of biopharmaceutical facilities (cGMP manufacturing plants, pilot plants, laboratories, etc.) is required
• Work experience in Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs) in the biotech/biopharma industry is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of downstream processing techniques like chromatography and TFF
