The Eraser Company is actively seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their team!! The Accounting Assistant is responsible for the processing of daily sales invoices, encoding of A/P invoices and collection of all customer account balances. Perform various account reconciliations and other duties as assigned.




  • Prepare and issue customer invoices daily via Syteline. Processing includes reconciliation of daily Credit Card report and Syteline A/R payment application of prepayments.
  • Encode A/P invoices with proper G/L account numbers for Syteline data entry.
  • Review A/R aging and pursue customer past due invoices via phone or email. Contact collection agent for assistance when needed.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly Sales & Use Tax reconciliation and perform online payment submission for California, Florida and New York.
  • Perform various monthly balance sheet and expense account reconciliations.
  • Act as backup for various A/R and A/P daily processes.
  • Provide full support to Financial Analyst and/or Controller, COO as requested.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Perform a variety of office duties including, but not limited to, faxing, filing, copying, scanning.



  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by management.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.

Remote Position




  • Associate Degree in related discipline with two or more years of Accounting/Bookkeeping experience OR High School Diploma with at least four years’ related experience.



  • General Ledger experience preferred
  • Account Payable and Accounts Receivable experience, including Account Collections preferred.
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong Excel skills including Data Entry
  • Strong Business skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills
  • Adding Machine proficiency
