• Supervise the filling department’s operations and ensure that tasks are completed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. 
• Supervise and train department personnel to ensure compliance with established procedures, as well as the development and maintenance of SOP’s, performance metrics, and goals that foster continuous improvements. 
• Incumbent will also perform administrative requirements, such as closing work orders and completing necessary forms, reports, etc. 
• The manufacturing supervisor is responsible for helping to onboard temps/students, as well as for the correction of time cards. 
• As a manufacturing supervisor, it is important for this person to ensure all staff are trained and are following all safety practices, policies, and procedures. 
• Incumbent must also attend all necessary meetings.
• As with all supervisor roles, this role is responsible for recognition, disciplinary processes, review processes and hiring and termination processes, all in concert with the department’s manager and Human Resources.

Education:

• 2-year degree in business administration, operations management, logistics, or other related function

Experience:

• 5-7 Years of Experience:
  

  • 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with disciplined manufacturing excellence practices such as S&OP, Lean, Six Sigma. with 1-3 years in a leadership role with supervisory responsibilities

Physical Requirements:

• Intermittent lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of 50 lbs.
• Frequent walking and standing on concrete surfaces
• Frequent sitting and office work
