Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

The Product Testing and Customer Support Specialist is responsible for determining customer needs and recommending the appropriate product or solution to meet those needs in a timely manner. Provides technical support to our distributors and end users.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Machine process sample material including time study to determine appropriate processing method for customer application adhering to ISO procedures and policies.
  • Recommend various equipment option(s) based on customer criteria/needs.
  • Quote application and pricing for customer according to company procedures.
  • Communicate directly with customers for technical clarification of specifications/requirements.
  • Assist customers with product issues including trouble shooting, application setups & technical information.
  • Maintain lab equipment to “as new” standards by cleaning & ordering new parts when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area daily.
  • Inspect and test products (machines) for trade shows and attend trade shows when needed.
  • Review and suggest product manual updates during product application testing/review.
  • Provide product training and assist in writing/ reviewing training material.
  • Participate actively as a member of the New Product Development Team.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by management.
  • Must be capable / willing to travel to support sales efforts.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Associate Degree OR High School Diploma with related work experience.
  • 1-3 years customer service experience in a manufacturing environment preferred


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • CRM/contact mgmt. software preferred
  • Mechanical/electronic technology experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Precision measurement tool use
  • Analytical skills
  • Well organized including attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Blueprint and schematic reading skills
  • Collaboration / teamwork skills
