Machine Operators Wanted! Empire Polymer Solutions is seeking Machine Operators to join our team at a new plastic manufacturing facility in Baldwinsville, NY.  We are moving forward quickly and need top talent to build our team. The right Machine Operator will play a valuable role at this exciting time as we build for the future in our new location.

• Operate large industrial production-based machinery.
• Feed machines with plastic materials for processing.
• Move materials throughout the production floor using forklifts, hand jacks, etc.
• Learn and understand complex process equipment (i.e. grinding, pumps, blowers, washing, drying, processing machines, motors, controls, conveyors, compressors, etc.)
• Adequately communicate maintenance issues and concerns to appropriate individuals (i.e. General Manager, Maintenance Manager). 
• Maintain an organized and functional work area, requiring some general cleaning tasks.
• Follow all policies and safety requirements directed by company policy.
• Qualified candidates must be hard working, willing to learn, a motivated team player, safety focused, and eager to gain and share new knowledge with their colleagues.
• This position must be able to demonstrate an understanding of safety, quality, and efficiency in the operation of all machinery on the plant floor.
• Machine Operators report directly to the General Manager and will be a key member of the Production Floor team
• Perform other duties as assigned by management team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Industrial production experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to follow, retain, and communicate detailed instructions.
• Ability to follow standard policies and procedures.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a production-oriented environment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage time, organize, and prioritize work effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to keep production equipment operating, including on-call/overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

• Able to work on ladders and lifts at a height above 15ft.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to frequently twist, kneel, squat, bend. and reach overhead.
